Picture of Professor Hunter visiting Squad 51 Welcome to my homepage.

I am an Associate Professor with the Emergency Medical Care Program here at Eastern Kentucky University. The picture of me seen on the left was taken during a trip to visit the famous "Squad 51" - named the station in the show Emergency.   Our program offers Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Emergency Medical Care.  Our  program is the only nationally accredited Paramedic Program in Kentucky.  We host the offices for Prehospital Trauma Life Support and Advanced Medical Life Support for Kentucky.

My professional experience includes over 22 years in EMS.  During that time I functioned as a street Paramedic, EMS Supervisor, dive team member, Director of Training and Quality Assurance, Communications Specialist, and a certified instructor for EMT, EMT-I and Paramedic courses.  I am a certified instructor in ACLS, PALS, BCLS, PEPP, AMLS and more.  Please feel free to visit our Program's web-pages or contact me directly if you have any questions about EKU.
