Scholarship Information
- What Paramedics Do
- Paramedics are the men and women who work under "standing orders and protocols" to bring the emergency room to the patient. We don't replace the Physician but we are his or her eyes, ears and hands until the patient reaches the hospital.
We intubate....give medications..... shock hearts.... use the jaws of life, perform confined space rescue, manage disaster scenes and more.
Paramedics and EMTs are the front-line in the on-going efforts to improve the emergency health care delivery system in America. We here at Eastern are striving to remain at the forefront on this and other important EMS issues. - Specialized Certifications that we teach
